Tuesday, April 18

Trails Regional Library hosts Coffee and Connections at 9 a.m. every Tuesday at the Warrensburg Branch. This program is for adults.

Care Connection and ParentLink of University of Missouri will host a regular support group for grandparents and other relatives raising children in Johnson County from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Trails Regional Library, 432 N. Holden St.

Trails Regional Library hosts Storytime in the Stacks at 10 a.m. every Tuesday at the Warrensburg Branch. This is a kids program.

The Trails Regional Library-Warrensburg Branch will host Kinship Care, a program for ages 55 and older, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Each session will provide practical information to use in your daily role as a grandparent or relative raising a child. Topics include challenges and stressors, the well-being of children, and ways to help yourself and your family.

Offered by Journey Home, Refuge on Ming and various area churches, hot lunch is provided from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 206 N. College St. in Warrensburg. Medical services provided by Katy Trail Community Health’s mobile unit are available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of The Food Center, 137 E. Culton St. in Warrensburg. The Trails Regional Library-Warrensburg Branch will host Get Hooked, a program for all ages, from 5 to 6 p.m. Learn to crochet or knit, learn tips and tricks for chosen patterns, or work on your chosen patterns with others with a common interest. Bring your supplies.

Wednesday, April 19

Johnson County Community Health Services offers walk-in COVID-19 vaccines from 1 to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday. It is not necessary to make an appointment.

The Trails Regional Library-Warrensburg Branch will host STEAM for T(w)eens, a program for ages 10-15, from 1 to 3 p.m. Explore various STEAM activities

Warrensburg Main Street will host the Third Wednesday Art Walk from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Warrensburg. Visit downtown businesses while supporting local artists and musicians. The event is free and open to the public.

Thursday, April 20

Love What’s Local’s annual Spring Clean the Burg is from April 20-27. This week-long event is to help encourage community volunteerism and to get the town spruced up for spring and summer.

Coffee and Connections will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Warrensburg Branch of Trails Regional Library.

Trails Regional Library will host Music and Movement from 9:30 to 10 a.m., followed by Free Play with Friends from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the Warrensburg Branch. This program is for ages 0-5.

Overeaters Anonymous meets at 10 a.m. Thursday in room 141 of the First United Methodist Church in Warrensburg, 141 E. Gay St. For more information, call 660-232-2115.

Knob Noster State Park will host Toddler Storytime in the Park, with the topic of Earth Day, at 10 a.m. April 20. The program features nature stories, songs and crafts for preschool-aged children. The Trails Regional Library-Knob Noster Branch will host Faux Stained-Glass Art, a program for adults, at 2 p.m. April 20 and April 27. Learn to make faux stained-glass art in this two-part class.

The Trails Regional Library-Leeton Express Branch will host Third Thursday Fun and Games, a program for all ages, from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. Celebrate School Library Month and Poetry Month by planting Poet-trees in the library.

The Trails Regional Library-Knob Noster Branch will host Book Upcycling for Earth Day, a program for ages 11-18, at 3:30 p.m. Learn the art of upcycling books to create Boho home décor pieces.

Saturday, April 22

Volunteers are welcome from 10 a.m. to noon to meet others and help with needs in the Bethlehem Community Vegetable Garden, 607 N. Maguire St. in Warrensburg. As thanks for coming out, there will be garden and yard giveaway items.

Warrensburg Main Street and the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce will host Come, Sip, Shop from noon to 4 p.m. in downtown Warrensburg. Participants must be 21 or older to sample regional wines, beer, and spirits. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at warrensburgmainstreet.org.

Earth Day at the Farm will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the University of Central Missouri Farm, 705 S. Mitchell St. in Warrensburg.

Sunday, April 23

Bob Bennett will offer a community-wide concert at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 607 N. Maguire St. in Warrensburg. This will be the church’s Shine! (Matthew 5:16) event for this year. Admission is food items to donate to the Food Center.

Monday, April 24

The Trails Regional Library-Warrensburg Branch will host 3R Book Club, a program for adults, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Choose a book from the specified subject or group to read and share with the group.

Seniors Jammin’ meets at 1 p.m. Monday at East Gate Restoration Branch, 401 N. Main St., Centerview. Bring your instrument, singing voice or listening ear for this free, informal, relaxed, weekly event.

The Trails Regional Library-Warrensburg Branch will host DIY Spa Series: Bug Repellant, a program for adults, at 5 p.m. Registration is required. Be thrifty and make homemade bug repellant.
