A 66-year-old motorcyclist from Clinton suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 1:49 p.m. Friday, March 21 in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was driving northbound on Missouri Highway 13 south of the Business 13 south junction on a 2003 Harley Davidson when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a MoDot sign.
The man, who was ejected, was not wearing a safety device.
He was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center.
A 37-year-old man from Kansas City suffered minor injuries in an accident at 8:42 a.m. Sunday, March 23, in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2007 Kenworth northbound on Missouri Highway 13 south of DD Highway when he crossed the center line.
The Kenworth then struck a 2015 Kia driven in the southbound lanes by a 31-year-old male from Lexington. The truck continued northbound, while the the Kia spun before becoming disabled in the northbound lanes of Highway 13.
Both parties were wearing a seatbelt.
Neither was transported to a hospital.
