Moderate injuries reported in April 21 wreck 

One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 21 on Highway 2 at Route B. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2009 Chevrolet, driven by William E. Armstrong, 42, of Clinton, swerved to avoid a deer and struck a fence. 

Armstrong is reported to have moderate injuries and sought his own treatment. Armstrong is reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Chevrolet is reported to have minor damage. 

MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. 

Moderate injuries, arrest reported in April 22 wreck 

One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck April 22 on Highway 23 and Southeast 275 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2021 Ram 1500, driven by Marion Roper, 49, of Warrensburg, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a road sign and overturned. 

Roper is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District. 

Roper was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent involving an accident. 

The Ram 1500 is reported to be a total loss.
