Minor injuries reported in Dec. 1 wreck involving four vehicles

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a four-vehicle wreck Dec. 1 on Highway 13 north of Northeast County Road H.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2018 Jeep, driven by Lee R. Weirich, 30, of Warrensburg, was northbound and attempted a left turn onto County Road H. A northbound 2005 Dodge Caravan, driven by Karen M. Younce, 55, of Warrensburg, came to a stop and the rear was struck by a 2005 Lincoln, driven by Diana M. Anderson, 28, of Pleasant Hill. The Dodge then struck the Jeep. An unknown vehicle struck the rear of the Lincoln and fled the scene.
Younce is reported to have minor injuries and sought her own treatment.
All known drivers are reported to have worn a safety device.
The Jeep is reported to have minor damage. The Dodge is reported to have extensive damage. The Lincoln is reported to be a total loss.

Serious injuries reported in Nov. 3 wreck

One person is reported to have serious injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Nov. 3 on eastbound Highway 50 east of Northwest 821 Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2013 Nissan, driven by Kyle T. Bowman, 35, of Oak Grove, traveled off the left side of the road and struck two signs, continued through the median and struck a tree, coming to rest on the driver’s side.
Bowman is reported to have serious injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
Bowman is reported to have not worn a safety device.
The Nissan is reported to be a total loss.

Minor injuries reported in single-vehicle wreck involving deer

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Dec. 5 on westbound Highway 50 at Highway Business 50.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2011 Jeep, driven by Marla B. Maxson, 63, of Warrensburg, struck a deer in the roadway.
Occupant Virginia G. Maxson, 96, is reported to have minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Marla Maxson and Virginia Maxson are reported to have worn a safety device.
The Jeep is reported to have moderate damage. 

Serious injuries reported in Nov. 7 wreck on Route AA

One person is reported to have serious injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Nov. 7 on Route AA south of Northeast 1901 Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2005 Chevrolet, driven by Joseph A. Spencer, 32, of Kingsville, traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, struck a ditch and overturned, ejecting the driver.
Spender is reported to have serious injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center.
Spencer is reported to have not worn a safety device.
The Chevrolet is reported to be a total loss.

Minor injuries, arrest reported in two-vehicle wreck Nov. 8

Kyle B. Cowherd, 34, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving after the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle wreck Nov. 8 on westbound Highway 50 east of Northwest 1501 Road.
MSHP reports the wreck occurred when a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu, driven byCowherd, changed lanes and struck the rear of a 2014 Freightliner, driven by John D. Gonzales, 63, of Kansas City, Kansas. The Chevrolet traveled off the right side of the road and the Freightliner came to a controlled stop on the right shoulder.
Cowherd is reported to have minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
Cowherd and Gonzales are reported to have worn a safety device.
The Chevrolet is reported to be a total loss.
The Freightliner is reported to have minor damage.
