Moderate injuries reported in June 23 wreck 

One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck June 23 on Highway F at Southwest 1000th Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2003 Mitsubishi, driven by Krystal M. Aita, 37, of Chilhowee, swerved to miss an animal in the roadway. 

Aita is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

The Mitsubishi is reported to have moderate damage. 

Minor injuries, arrest reported in June 28 wreck

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck on June 28 on Route BB and Southwest 101 Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the wreck occurred when a 2002 Honda, driven by Rebecca M. Comfort, 44, of Warrensburg, went off the road and hit a sign and culvert while attempting to navigate a curve. 

Comfort is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District. 

Comfort is reported to have worn a safety device.

Comfort was later arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash. 

The Honda is reported to have extensive damage. 

Fatality reported in June 29 wreck

One fatality has been reported in a wreck June 29 on Route TT east of Southwest 1821 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred between 2 and 5 p.m. when a John Deere tractor, driven by William E. Brunner, 90, of Holden, traveled off the roadway, struck a tree and rolled down an embankment, ejecting the driver. 

Brunner was pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren. 

The tractor is reported to have extensive damage. 

MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. 

Serious injuries reported in June 29 wreck 

One person is reported to have serious injuries from a two-vehicle wreck June 29 in the 300 block of Northwest 50 Highway. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2001 Freightliner, driven by Bryan M. Snodgrass, 45, of Rantoul, Kansas, struck the rear of a 2004 Kenworth, driven by Aaron R. Goucher, 28, of Buckner. 

Snodgrass is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District. 

The Kenworth is reported to have minor damage and the Freightliner is reported to be a total loss.
