Moderate and minor injuries were reported in a three-vehicle wreck on Highway 13 at Route H.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2019 International driven by Roosevelt Wilkerson, 67, of Jackson, Louisiana, applied brakes to avoid striking an obstruction. A 2019 International driven by Oze Z. Gaines, 76, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, struck the rear of a 2018 International driven by Gene A. Giles, 87, of New Sarpy, Louisiana, causing him to strike the rear of Wilkerson’s vehicle.
Gaines is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.
Giles is reported to have minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
Serious injuries were reported in a two-vehicle wreck on May 7 on northbound Southwest 1101st Road.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2016 Honda driven by Dalton E. Miller, 22, of Holden, struck the rear of a 2018 Polaris driven by Joseph Vanmeter, 23, of Holden. After striking the rear, the Honda overturned and Miller was ejected.
Miller is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Johnson County Ambulance District.
