Motorcycle totaled in Nov. 24 wreck

Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle wreck on Nov. 24 on Northwest County Road 1751, north of Northwest County Road 475.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2004 Honda CR250 Motorcycle driven by a juvenile lost control while driving southbound and began sliding into the path of a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Micheal R. Gard, 68, of Kingsville. The juvenile fell off of the motorcycle, and the motorcycle then struck the Tahoe.

Both drivers are reported to have worn safety devices. 

The juvenile is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence by the Johnson County Ambulance District.

Two men injured in Nov. 25 wreck

Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle wreck on Nov. 25 on Highway 13 at Southwest 21 Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2023 Hyundai driven by James W. Bryant, 31, of Warrensburg, fell asleep because the vehicle crossed the center of the roadway. A 1992 Honda driven by Andrew S. Binder, 60, and Bryant swerved into the same lane, causing the vehicles to hit head-on. The vehicle driven by Bryant then traveled off of the roadway and overturned. 

Both drivers are reported to have safety devices.

Both drivers were reported to have minor injuries and refused treatment on the scene. 

Minor injuries reported in Nov. 25 wreck

Minor injuries were reported in a single-vehicle wreck on Nov. 25 on Route WW, east of Route 23.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 1998 Ford F150 driven by Travis D. Hurd, 42, of Windsor, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a culvert. 

Occupants Sonja A. Hurd, 39, Shelby L. Hurd, 18, and a juvenile were reported to have minor injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District. 

Fatality reported in Nov. 26 wreck

A fatality was reported in a two-vehicle wreck on Nov. 26 on northbound Highway 13. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2020 Ford Ecosport driven by Linda K. Ridge, 69, of Warrensburg, turned left into the path of a 2017 Ford Transit driven by Caleb J. Henry, 22, of Blue Springs. 

Henry is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.

Ridge was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, where she was pronounced dead by a doctor.
