The Missouri State Highway patrol reports one person is dead from a two-vehicle collision Nov. 5 on Highway 13 at Route H.
MSHP reports the wreck occurred when a 2005 International, driven by Charles R. Griffin, 64 of Sweet Springs, swerved into the southbound lane to avoid striking a vehicle stopped in the northbound lane, striking a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu headon.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Anthony L. Johnson, 29, of Richmond, was pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren.
Johnson is reported to have not worn a safety device.
Griffin is reported to have worn a safety device.
MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
