KTCH to provide free COVID-19 testing

Posted

WARRENSBURG ━ Katy Trail Community Health will provide free COVID-19 testing to Johnson County as part of a partnership with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Missouri Community Health Centers and MAKO Medical.

The free COVID-19 testing will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 7 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, 386 NW 145 Road, Warrensburg.

Missouri residency is the only requirement. Individuals are not required to live in the county in which they are tested and they do not have to be experiencing symptoms.

The test is a PCR test via mid-nasal swab to determine the presence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. This is not an antigen or antibody test.

Registration is strongly recommended by KTCH. Those interested can register for an event here: mako.exchange/splash/MOmakotesting/.

For assistance, call (919) 351-6256.

KTCH recommends double-checking the spelling of names and dates of birth. This information must be exactly correct to receive results. Upon completing the registration, an email with a QR code and booking ID number will be sent. Show this QR code and booking ID number to the site attendant in order to proceed with the test. Each person who registers must have their own email address.

KTCH stated to allow at least 30 minutes for completion of testing upon arrival to the testing site.
