Darla K. Garrison, 58, was cited Aug. 18 for shoplifting. On Aug. 13, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard in reference to a past theft. Asset protection reported a known female subject shoplifted multiple items from their store on July 4. After further investigation, officers identified the female subject and sent her a signed city summons through the mail.
Janice E. Cook, 42, was arrested Aug. 18 at the intersection of Franklin Street and South Maguire Street for driving without a valid operator’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers conducted a traffic stop due to a defective brake light. The driver was determined to be operating without a valid license. During a routine search of the vehicle, a Police K-9 alerted officers to narcotics in the vehicle. The female was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where she was booked and released with a signed city summons and multiple citations.
Travis W. Ray, 43, was arrested Aug. 18 at the intersection of East Gaty Street and North Mitchell Street for driving while suspended/revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers observed a male subject known to be revoked driving a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop. He was arrested for an active Johnson County warrant, driving while revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail, where he was placed in lieu of bond.
Margaret S. Null, 25, was arrested Aug. 18 for unlawful use of a weapon, second degree property damage, and third degree domestic assault in the 400 block of West Market Street after officers responded to an attempted forced entry. Upon arrival, a male reported that a known female attempted to gain entry to his residence while armed with a knife, broke a window to his residence and slashed a tire on his vehicle. Officers located the female, who was arrested and transported to the Johnson County Jail, where she was placed on a 24-hour hold.
Jeffrey A. Stone, 61, was arrested Aug. 18 for third degree assault, obstruction, second degree kidnapping and second degree domestic assault in the 600 block of West Clark Street after officers were dispatched in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, a female reported that a known male assaulted her by throwing her to the ground, keeping her from leaving the residence. Officers made contact with the subject, who was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department. He was booked and released with a signed city summons.
Craig M. Wilkerson, 59, was cited Aug. 19 for shoplifting after officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, asset protection informed officers that they noticed a male subject with merchandise in his pocket leave the store without rendering payment. The male subject left prior to the officer's arrival, but was later identified. He was issued a citation for shoplifting, which was mailed to his residence.
John H. Welch Jr., 45, was cited Aug. 19 for trespassing after officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard in reference to a past trespassing. Asset protection informed officers that a known male subject who had previously been trespassed was located in the store Aug. 19. After further investigation, officers confirmed the identity and mailed him a signed city summons for trespassing.
Bryan S. Wiskur, 35, was arrested Aug. 19 for trespassing in the 100 block of South Holden Street after officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Hamilton Street in reference to harassment. Upon arrival, a female stated that a male subject was harassing her by messaging her and driving by her residence. Officers made contact with the male, who was arrested, transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.
Cole A. Stewart, 35, was arrested Aug. 21, for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance in the 400 block of West Pine Street after officers were dispatched to Blind Boone Park in reference to a subject check. Officers located several males who were in violation of park hours. After further investigation, one male was arrested after being in possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with a signed city summons.
Dustin D. Tracy, 47, and April N. Stairs, 39, were arrested Aug. 21 for stealing in the 700 block of West Gay Street. The arrests span back to Aug. 28, when officers were dispatched to the location in reference to a past theft. A male told officers an unknown person stole his lawnmower and two gas cans on July 8.
Naiser Angei, 36, was arrested Aug. 22 for driving while intoxicated in the 400 block of North Maguire Street after officers were dispatched to the area of Frontage Road and North Ridgeview Drive in reference to an erratic driver. Officers located the suspected vehicle along Maguire and conducted a traffic stop. The male driver was arrested for DWI and was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with a signed city summons and citations for no insurance and failing to drive in a single lane.
Christian C. P. Root, 20, was arrested Aug. 22, for simple domestic assault in the 100 block of South Holden Street. The arrest spans back to Aug. 13, when officers were dispatched to the 200 block in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were made aware of a physical altercation that occurred between a known male and female subject. Due to conflicting stories, the case was referred to the Municipal Prosecutor for review.
Gary L. Duft, 41, was arrested Aug. 23 for being a fugitive from out of state, resisting arrest, property damage, obstructing process, disturbing public peace and simple domestic assault in the 100 block of East Gay Street after officers were dispatched to a disturbance. Upon arrival, a male informed officers that a male and female were having a verbal dispute. Officers made contact and discovered the male had assaulted the female. He was arrested for obstructing, property damage, domestic assault, peace disturbance and a felony out-of-state warrant. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail, where he was placed in lieu of bond.
Wesley Wishon, 42, was arrested Aug. 23 for stealing in the 200 block of South Mitchell Street after officers were dispatched in reference to a past burglary. Officers were informed that a known male stole items from outside the residence between Aug. 16 and Aug. 23. He was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with a signed city summons.
Brittani N. Madrid, 37, was arrested Aug. 24 for simple domestic assault in the 100 block of North Main Street in reference to a domestic dispute. A male reported a known female assaulted him by shoving him down. Upon further investigation, the female subject was placed under arrest for domestic assault. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where she was booked and released with a signed city summons.
Katy L. Foster, 35, was arrested Aug. 24 for simple domestic assault in the 900 block of Anderson Street in reference to a domestic dispute. A female informed officers that she was assaulted by a known female by pulling her shirt and hitting her in the face. The female subject was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where she was booked and released with a signed city summons.
