Two Holden residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 9:31 p.m. Friday, April 12 in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Norman E. Elliott, 63, was driving a 2010 Buick south in the 900 block of Southwest 725th Road when he traveled off the road and his vehicle struck the ditch.
Norman Elliott received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. A passenger, 53-year-old Lola M. Elliott, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Norman Elliott was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail and released.
The report indicates neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department assisted.
