All interested persons are invited to participate in the Thursday, October 29 meeting of Mid-Missouri Artists (MMA) at 6:30 p.m. in the Arts and Crafts Room of the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 E. Gay. Artist and sculptor Nancy Sams will present the program on “Advanced Uses for Polymer clays.”

Sams holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Arts Management and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Management. She has had work juried into the American Women Artists’ show in Corning, New York, the Academy of Equine Art Fall Show at Lexington, Kentucky, the American Royal Western Art Show, Kansas City, Missouri and The Spirit Show in Cheyenne, WY and has also participated a number of times in the Loveland Invitational, in Loveland, CO. You will find her work in homes from Washington State to Florida.

In her program Sams will show us some examples of jewelry that can be created from Sculpey polymer clay. There are some effects that can be attained with this clay that can be quite surprising. Bring your imagination and see what you can create. Polymer clay jewelry offers endless creative possibilities, from marbled earrings to geometric necklaces and whimsical charms, perfect for DIY projects or personalized gifts. You will be able to take what you create home and finish it off!

Google polymer clay jewelry for some fun ideas before the meeting.

What to bring: a cutting device, a stamp—something to make designs/impressions in clay, a stylist or ball tool to make designs in the clay. Use your imagination!

We will not have a formal business meeting in order to allow full time for creative fun with Nancy.

Please RSVP to jblankford69@gmail.com to help Nancy plan for the right amount of materials to bring.
