Teen hurt in Johnson County collision

A 17-year-old female from Warrensburg suffered moderate injuries in an accident at 5:27 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, she was turning a 2015 Chrysler 200 westbound on U.S. Highway 50 just west of the Missouri Route 13 bypass and failed to yield to a 2020 Toyota RAV4 driven westbound on Highway 50 by a 21-year-old female from Versailles.

Both were wearing their seat belts. The 17-year-old was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.
