Johnson County Clerk Diane Thompson reminds registered voters who will be absent from their polling location on Nov. 3, 2026, that absentee ballots are available Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Absentee voting for the November 3, 2026, General Election will continue through 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2 at the Reese Educational Center, Elections Annex A (301 W Market Street, Room 108). The office will also be open for absentee voting on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 8:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.
Applications for mailed absentee ballots must be received in the Elections Office by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 and should include the voter’s name and residential address as it appears on the voter registration rolls, mailing address, reason for requesting an absentee ballot and signature of the voter.
