Elva C. Iseminger

Elva C. Iseminger, 89, of Warrensburg, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Country Club Care Center.

Born Elva Clarean Warnken on Sept. 23, 1925 in Lafayette County, Elva was the eldest daughter of Louis and Frieda (Lohmann) Warnken. She attended rural schools and graduated from Farmers High School in 1944. Following graduation from Central Business School in Kansas City, she worked at the AAA Office in Warrensburg.

On Aug. 18, 1946, she married Charles E. Iseminger in Warrensburg. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1983. Following the death of her husband, Elva worked for many years as a cashier at the Corner Cafe and became active in the Warrensburg Senior Center. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, teaching Sunday School, assisting with Vacation Bible School and later, as a member of Merry Widows.

Elva’s priority was family, especially her children. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Williams and husband, Dave, and Elaine Davis and husband, Larry; her son, Steve Iseminger and wife, Jan; her beloved granddaughter, Taylor; stepgrandson, Jamie Davis; four stepgreat-grandsons, Hunter, Parker, Gavin and Kael; three sisters-in-law, Joyce Speas, Pearl Warnken and Mary Ann Warnken; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, Edgar, Roy, Orville, Eileen and Irvin.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Warrensburg,

with Pastor Joel R. Kurz officiating.

Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg.

Pallbearers will be John Cantrell, Ron Mau, Larry Davis, Ed Warnken, Ruth Mau and Dave Williams.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
