The City of Warrensburg has two City Council positions open. Each is a three-year term.
Incumbent Jan Jones and newcomer Max Ridenhour filed.
The City of Centerview has one four-year term for Mayor and two two-year term aldermen at large positions open.
Derek Feldman filed for Mayor. Jennifer Edwards and Nikki Branscum filed for alderman at large.
The City of Chilhowee has one four-year term for Mayor and two two-year term aldermen at large positions open.
Lois Morrison filed for Mayor. Keri Smith and Jimmy Tawzer filed for alderman at large.
The City of Holden has multiple positions open.
The list includes one two-year term for Ward I, one two-year term for Ward II, one one-year term for Ward II, two two-year terms for Ward III, two two-year terms for Ward IV and one four-year term for Mayor.
Newcomers Alen Mensch and David Chastain filed for Mayor.
Incumbent Guy Barwick and newcomer Julie Getz filed for Ward I.
Incumbent Carol Mallory filed for Ward II.

The City of Knob Noster has one position open for each Ward I, Ward II and Ward III Board of Aldermen. Each is for a two-year term. A two-year position for Mayor is also open.

The City of Leeton has two positions available for Alderman at-large. Positions are for two-year terms.

Three positions are open on the Johnson County R-7 Board of Education
An email from Crest Ridge prior to the winter break indicates three people filed.
Three positions are open for the Kingsville Board of Education.
Three positions are open on the Knob Noster Board of Education.

Three positions are open for the Leeton R-X Board of Education.
Incumbent John Davis, newcomer Dana Bunford-Browder and newcomer Matthew Louis Soer filed.
The Johnson County Ambulance District has one director position for Subdistrict 3 and one director position for Subdistrict 6 open. Both are four-year terms.
Ray Patrick filed for Subdistrict 3 while Mary Kidd filed for Subdistrict 6.
Johnson County Emergency Services has one at-large trustee, one eastern district trustee and one western district trustee position open.
All are four-year terms.
Kimberly Lockard filed for at-large trustee, Sharri Carter filed for eastern director and Larry Jennings filed for western director.
The Johnson County Fire Protection District #2 has one director position for a six-year term.
