Four Jennies receive WGCA All-Central Region honors

The MIAA Champion Jennies golf team had four student-athletes earn Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Central Region honors, it was announced Monday, May 20.

Hayley Jones, Mia Rallo, Nicole Rallo and Maya McVey received All-Central Region accolades for their performances on the golf course during the 2023-24 season.

Jones, a redshirt senior from Andover, Kan., posted a 74.74 stroke average over 31 rounds during the season, compiling seven top-10 finishes, including tournament wins at the Midwest Classic Oct. 17 and the Natural State Golf Classic Feb. 27. In 80 career rounds, Jones ranks second in program history with a 76.39 average. She was a 2024 First Team All-MIAA honoree.

Mia Rallo, a sophomore from Wentzville, Mo., led UCM with a 73.84 stroke average in 31 rounds this season, posting a team-high eight top-10 showings, including winning a program record three tournaments. Rallo captured individual titles at the Central Regional Preview Sept. 26, Grace Shin Invitational Oct. 3 and The Tulsa Cup Oct. 24. Through 45 career rounds, Rallo is currently the all-time leader in scoring average at 75.27. Rallo was tabbed the 2024 MIAA Golfer of the Year.

A junior from Wentzville, Mo., Nicole Rallo tallied a 75.39 stroke average in 28 rounds in 2023-24, compiling four top-10 finishes. Rallo finished a season-best tied for second at the Grace Shin Invitational Oct. 3 and had a top-three finish at The Tulsa Cup Oct. 24, placing third. In 76 career rounds, Rallo is currently fourth in career scoring average at UCM at 76.58. She was a 2024 Second Team All-MIAA selection.

McVey, a freshman from Blue Springs, Mo., tallied a 75.57 stroke average in 28 rounds this season, posting seven top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the 2024 MIAA Women's Golf Championship April 24. McVey was voted the 2024 MIAA Freshman of the Year.
