A Holden man is behind bars following an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children and the Holden Police Department.
According to HPD, Eric Brendal, 35, was arrested July 9 and is being charged with 13 felonies for possessing child pornography.
HPD says it first received a cyber tip regarding the material from the National Center for Exploited and Missing Children. Brendel was identified as a possible suspect.
During the investigation, search warrants were served in the 1600 block of South Vine and the 600 block of South St. Charles in Holden with assistance from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Knob Noster Police Department.
Brendal is being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
