Johnson County Clerk Diane Thompson reminds county residents of the 5 p.m. deadline on Wednesday, July 8, to register to vote for the Aug. 4 Primary Election. If residents have moved from another state, the resident will need to register with Johnson County prior to the deadline.
Due to a recent change in law, registered voters moving from one county to another within Missouri are now considered an address change. Voters changing their registration to Johnson County are encouraged to update their voter record prior to Election Day. Address changes made on Election Day must be made at the Reese Educational Center, Elections Office (301 W Market St, Room 111) in Warrensburg prior to the voter being allowed to vote.
