Joseph J. Adair

Joseph "Toad" Jordon Adair, son of David "Gabby" Adair and Donna (Clark) Adair was born May 4, 1982, in Des Moines, Iowa, and passed from this life Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, in Leon, Iowa, at 33 years of age.

Toad lost his life in an ice fishing accident alongside his father, who also died in the accident.

Toad grew up in Osceola and moved with his parents to Alabama where he finished high school. He was a fun-loving guy who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, mushroom hunting, rock rapelling, camping and kayaking. He was working with his dad helping as a handyman at the funeral home where his dad was employed.

Those relatives who preceded Joseph in death were his grandmother, Dee Clark, and aunt, Debbie Clark.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Donna Adair of Knob Noster; three brothers, Gabe (Rana) Adair of Urbandale, Iowa, Josh Adair of Woodland, Iowa, and Jake Adair of Knob Noster; grandparents, Gerald and Lynette Clark of Osceola, Iowa; grandparents, Max and Beulah Adair of Arizona; niece, Taylor, nephews, Cole and Chase, uncles, John (Cindy) Adair of Arizona, Jim (Laurel) Adair of Arizona, Mike (Janet) Adair of Tennessee, Denny Adair of Iowa, Ron Adair of Iowa, Rob (Nila) Clark of Osceola, Iowa, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for David and Joseph will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, with Pastor Chuck DeVos and Pastor Danny McNeal officiating.

Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Kale Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Donna Adair for a fitting tribute to be decided at a later date and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
