Juanita F. Hunter

Juanita Frances Hunter, Warrensburg, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at Ridge Crest Nursing Center in Warrensburg.

She was born March 4, 1929, in Johnson County, the daughter of Emerson Beard and Elizabeth Stapleton Beard.

She was a 1947 graduate of Warrensburg High School. On May 20, 1948, she married Cecil D. Hunter. He prceceded her in death on June 18, 2002. She was a housewife and a member of South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield.

Survivors are a brother, Billie Beard, Warrensburg; two sisters, Dorris Hahn (Dave), Warrensburg, and Linda Strathman (Donald), Alma; nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Willis Beard; and a sister, Crystal Meek.

The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. in the Greenlawn Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers are Kevin Strathman, Kent Strathman, Keith Strathman, Matt Bauer, Jacob Bauer and Joshua Bushman.
