Johnson County Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Jeremy VanWey retired last week after more than 27 years of service to the District. As Battalion Chief, VanWey oversaw operations in the eastern portion of the District which included Stations 4 (Knob Noster), 10 (Warrensburg) and 12 (Burtville).
