Virginia H. Dickson

Virginia H. Dickson, 86, of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at her home after a long illness.

Virginia was born June 18, 1930, in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Silena Ruth. On June 11, 1949, in Chicago, she was united in marriage to Wilbur Wayne Dickson, who survives. Virginia and Wayne met in Chicago when they both worked at a Quaker Oats headquarters. She was a devoted wife and mother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Patricia and husband, Ron Donley, of Stokes, N.C.; Arlene and husband, Chester Worthey, of Tecumseh, Mo., along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Kathleen; one son: Daniel; two sisters: Josephine Kinzie and Genevieve Conley.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Parker-Millard Funeral Service , Columbia, with a prayer service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Francis Doyle officiating.
