Have you ever dreamed of exploring historic castles, wandering through the Scottish Highlands, or experiencing the charm of Edinburgh? The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce invites community members to attend an upcoming informational meeting to learn more about its 2027 international travel opportunity, Historic Highlands: The Heart of Scotland.
The informational meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, in the Jack Moore Community Room at the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, 100 S. This meeting is designed to give prospective travelers greater insight into the trip, answer questions, and walk through what participants can expect throughout the journey. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the itinerary, accommodations, pricing, included experiences, optional excursions, travel arrangements, and opportunities to extend their adventure.
Historic Highlands: The Heart of Scotland is scheduled for Oct. 12–20, 2027. The nine-day adventure will take travelers through Edinburgh, Inverness and the Scottish Highlands, with experiences at Stirling Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Cairngorms National Park, St. Andrews, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh Castle and more. The package also includes round-trip scheduled airfare from Kansas City, seven nights of hotel accommodations, overseas airport and hotel transfers, select meals and a Discovery Program Guide.
Travelers will experience a combination of guided sightseeing and leisure time. Highlights range from meeting Scotland’s famous Highland cattle, affectionately known as “Hairy Coos,” to exploring the historic grounds of St. Andrews and discovering Edinburgh’s royal and cultural history.
Those looking to experience even more of the United Kingdom can also choose to extend their travels. A three-night London pre-tour includes a city tour and sights such as the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, with additional optional tours available. A three-night Belfast post-tour includes a Belfast city tour with a visit to Titanic Belfast, a trip to the North Antrim Coast and Giant’s Causeway, and a ferry journey from Scotland to Belfast.
The Scotland package is $5,299 per person, with a special rate of $4,999 per person for travelers who deposit by Dec. 31 using Code WCCS300.
Another package opportunity is a special rate of $5,099 per person for travelers who deposit by April 12, 2027, using code WCCS200. A $450 deposit per traveler is required to hold a space, with final payment due May 5, 2027.
