A Buckner man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck on July 10 on Missouri Route 131.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a southbound 2023 Kawasaki KLR 650 driven by Zachariah T. Hamilton, 23, crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2015 Nissan Versa driven by George T. Schultz, 52, of Chilhowee.
Hamilton was transported to Belton Regional Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
Schultz is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.
Moderate injuries were reported in a single-vehicle wreck on July 10 on Highway 50.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when an eastbound 2020 Dodge Caravan driven by Ronald E. Smith, 76, of Green Ridge, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a ditch. After the impact, the vehicle re-entered the roadway, crossed eastbound lanes and traveled off the right side of the road before coming to a rest.
Smith and his passenger, 77-year-old Jodean M. Smith, were reported to have moderate injuries and were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
A Knob Noster man was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on July 11 on Highway 13.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when an unknown vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and continued southbound on Highway 13. A 2014 Volvo VNL driven south by Sam M. Hadi, 29, of Melvindale, Michigan, crossed the center of the road and began to skid. A 2010 GMC Sierra driven north by Jeffrey K. Hall, 40, began skidding in an attempt to avoid the Volvo. The Volvo struck the GMC, causing it to overturn down an embankment.
Hall is reported to have minor injuries and was treated on scene by the Johnson County Ambulance District.
Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle wreck on July 12 on Highway 13.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a northbound 2001 Ford Ranger driven by Jack W. Ryan, 61, of Warrensburg, was stopped in a roadway for a left-hand turn. A northbound 2015 Ford Transit driven by Courtney S. Rotramel, 29, of Clinton, struck the rear of the vehicle and then overturned.
Ryan is reported to have minor injuries and was treated and released on scene.
