Woman seriously injured in Johnson County wreck

Haley A. Hopper, 23, of Stover, suffered serious injuries and Melissa A. Alston, 48, of Knob Noster, suffered minor injuries at 11:41 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alston was driving a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer north on Marr Drive when he traveled off the roadway and the vehicle struck a culvert. Hopper, an occupant in the vehicle, was ejected.

Alston was wearing a seat belt and refused treatment. Hopper was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by ambulance.

Alston was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated, no insurance, and failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway.

Warrensburg woman hurt in Johnson accident

Remey M. Charon, 32, of Warrensburg, suffered minor injuries at 1:35 a.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Charon was driving a 2018 Subaru Forester north on Southeast 201 Road when she left the roadway and her vehicle struck a sign and overturned.

Charon was wearing a seat belt and was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center by private vehicle.

Charon was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, and failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway.

Pleasant Hill teen seriously injured in ATV accident

A 16-year-old boy from Kingsville suffered minor injuries and a 16-year-old girl from Pleasant Hill suffered serious injuries at 7 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 2021 Polaris Ranger driven by a 17-year-old boy west on Southwest 75 Road was turning around at the intersection of Southwest 1501 and overturned.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt. The 16-year-old boy refused medical treatment. The 16-year-old girl was transported to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City by Johnson County Ambulance District.
