Deante J. Loftis, 29, was arrested June 30 for second-degree domestic assault in the 700 block of Cedar Drive. Officers were dispatched to the area, where a female subject reported that a known male subject had hit her in the head and strangled her before fleeing on foot. The male subject was later located and arrested. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.
