Four injured in Aug. 12 wreck 

Four people are reported to have injuries from a two-vehicle wreck Aug. 12 on Highway 50 at Northwest 1501 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Damon Dunlap, 43, of Paris, Missouri, railed to yield to a 2014 Ford Fusion, driven by Darrell Carter, 67, of Warrensburg, and the Ford struck the Pontiac. 

Dunlap is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center. Darrell Carter is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. Lorraine Carter, 70, of Warrensburg, is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to WMMC. Paisley Bentzinger, of Warrensburg, is reported to have minor injuries and was transported to WMMC. 

Dunlap, Darrell Carter, Lorraine Carter and Paisley Bentzinger are each reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Pontiac is reported to be a total loss. The Ford is reported to have extensive damage. 

Moderate injuries reported in Aug. 14 wreck 

One person is reported to have moderate injuries from a single-vehicle wreck Aug. 14 on Route Z at Northwest 795 Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2007 Pontiac G6, driven by Jocelyn L. McHenry, 18, of Bates City, traveled into the path of and was struck by a 2002 Honda Motorcycle, driven by Michael J. Kuhns, 34, of Bates City. The Honda traveled off the west side of the road and the driver was ejected. 

Kuhns is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center. 

McHenry is reported to have worn a safety device. Kuhns is reported to have not worn a safety device. 

The Pontiac and Honda are each reported to have extensive damage. 

Two people left with minor injuries following wreck

Two people are reported to have minor injuries from a single-vehicle wreck on August 11 on Westbound Southeast 525 at Southeast 601.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2001 Ford, driven by Noah Sullivan, 18, of Knob Noster, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the roadway and overturned.

Sullivan is reported to have minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center. One juvenile occupant is reported to have minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to WMMC.

Both Sullivan and the juvenile were reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Ford is reported to be a total loss. 

Serious injuries reported in Aug. 11 wreck

One person is reported to have serious injuries following a single-vehicle wreck on Aug. 11 on 958 Northwest 50. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the wreck occurred when a 2005 Honda, driven by James Yokum, 52, of Crystal Lakes, traveled off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. 

Yokum is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by the Johnson County Ambulance District. 

It is unknown if Yokum wore a safety device. 

The Honda is reported to be a total loss.
