Minor injuries reported in July 11 wreck 

One person is reported to have minor injuries in a two-vehicle wreck July 11 on Northwest 575th Road east of Northwest 81st Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Claire J. Starbuck, 18, of Warrensburg, crossed the center of the roadway and sideswiped a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Phillip H. Wild, 77, of Warrensburg. 

Wild is reported to have minor injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

Wild is reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Chevrolet and Jeep are each reported to have extensive damage. 

Moderate injuries reported in July 12 wreck 

One person is reported to have moderate injuries in a single-vehicle wreck July 12 on Highway 23 south of Southeast 650th Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2013 Honda, driven by Whitney L. Arnett, 23, of Knob Noster, attempted to avoid an animal, traveled off the roadway, became airborne and overturned. 

Arnett is reported to have moderate injuries and was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

Arnett is reported to have worn a safety device. 

MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. 

Minor injuries, arrrest reported in July 12 wreck 

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a single vehicle wreck on July 12 on Route W.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the wreck occurred when a 2018 Ford Mustang, driven by Matthew L. Hymiller, 25, of Lee’s Summit, crossed the centerline of the roadway, overcorrected, began overturning and traveled off the right side of the roadway, coming to a stop in a ditch. 

Hymiller is reported to have minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. 

Hymiller is reported to have worn a safety device. 

The Ford is reported to be a total loss. 

Hymiller was arrested later that day on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a collision. 

Minor injuries reported in July 13 wreck 

One person is reported to have minor injuries from a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 50 west of Devasher Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2021 Ford F150, driven by Austin W. Kramer, 30, of Sedalia, slowed for a construction zone and was struck by a 2000 Ford F150, driven by a juvenile. 

The juvenile is reported to have minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center. 

Kramer and the juvenile are each reported to have worn a safety device. 

Both vehicles are reported to have moderate damage.
