Motorcycle totaled, minor injuries reported in Nov. 2 wreck

One person is reported to have minor injuries in a two-vehicle wreck on Nov. 2 on Missouri Route W at Northwest 100th road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2022 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by Aaron D. Morrison, 23, of Holden, struck a deer in the roadway, causing the deer to travel into the path of a 2004 Mazda driven by Edward J. Bartkoski, 18, of Kingsville.

Both drivers are reported to have worn a safety device. 

Morrison is reported to have minor injuries and transported himself to get treatment. 

MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Johnson County Ambulance District.

Serious injuries reported in Nov. 2 wreck 

One person is reported to have serious injuries in a two-vehicle wreck on Nov. 2 on Highway 13 at Northwest 1000th Road. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when a 2014 Ford Focus driven by Alec R. Tabor, 29, of Warrensburg, struck the towed unit of a 2014 Kenworth driven by Caleb J. Thompson, 30, of Warrensburg. 

Tabor is reported to have serious injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence by the Johnson County Ambulance District. 

Both drivers are reported to have worn a safety device.
