One person is reported to be seriously injured from a single-vehicle wreck Dec. 26 on Highway 50 at Northwest 671st Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred when an eastbound 2015 Ford Fusion, driven by Bradford H. Ferbet, 44, of Lee’s Summit, failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and became airborne, struck two road signs, flipped over and came to rest in the westbound lanes.
Ferbet is reported to have serious injuries and was transported by LifeFlight Eagle to Truman Medical Center.
Ferbet is reported to have worn a safety device.
Ferbet was later arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.
The Ford is reported as totaled.
