Kahlill D. Smith, 28, was arrested on June 3 for resisting arrest, stealing a motor vehicle, fourth-degree assault, driving while suspended and receiving stolen property. Officers attempted to stop a vehicle at East Young Street and U.S. Highway 50. The vehicle failed to yield and the driver fled on foot on Russell Avenue near Burkarth Road. He was processed at the Warrensburg Police Department then transported to the Johnson County Jail on a 24 hour hold. Smith was also arrested for trespass of a motor vehicle and stealing after stolen property was located in his possession in the 700 block of East Gay Street. He was processed at the Warrensburg Police Department then transported to the Johnson County Jail. more
