Wan-Hsuan Huang, 26, of Warrensburg suffered moderate injuries and Taylor J. Hazel, 33, of Holden also suffered moderate injuries at 5:38 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Hazel north on NW 1201 Road crossed U.S. Route 50 and was struck by a 2023 Nissan Sentra driven west by Yu-Tong Wang, 26, of Pennsylvania.
Hazel was not wearing a seatbelt, Huang was. Both were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District.
Peyton J. Anderson, 18, of Grain Valley suffered moderate injuries, James D. Lyle, 59, of Independence suffered minor injuries, and Kelly D. Lyle, 62, of Independence suffered moderate injuries at 2:23 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Anderson lost control causing his 2008 Dodge traveling west on U.S. Route 50 causing him to strike the rear of a 2008 Honda driven by James Lyle. The vehicles traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck the ditch.
Anderson was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Western Missouri medical center in Warrensburg. The Lyles were wearing seatbelts and were also transported to Western Missouri Medical center by Johnson County Ambulance District.
Matthew R. Williams, 40, of Odessa suffered serious injuries at 10:57 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Williams was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado north on Missouri Route 131 when he traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
He was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Williams was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
