Concordia woman hurt in Johnson County mishap

A Concordia woman, 83, suffered minor injuries at 1:19 p.m. Thursday, June 26, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was an occupant in a 2024 Ford driven south by an 84-year-old man from Concordia on Missouri Highway 23. A 2014 Rogator farm sprayer, driven south by a 43-year-old man from Houstonia, crossed the center of the roadway and encountered a 1996 Freightliner driven north by a 29-year-old man from Utica and was struck head on. The Ford attempted to avoid the collision, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a concrete culvert.

The Concordia woman was wearing a seat belt, and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
