Woman injured in ATV accident

An Odessa woman, 64 suffered moderate injuries at 11:19 a.m. Thursday, June 12, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2021 Zhejiang ATV south on NW 1401 Road when she traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

She was not wearing a helmet, and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence.

Two injured in motorcycle accident  

An Odessa motorcyclist, 36, and his female passenger, 40, suffered serious injuries at 1:39 p.m. Sunday, June 15, in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was driving a 2015 Yamaha south on Route H, attempted to negotiate a curve and skidded off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting both occupants. They were wearing helmets and were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Chilhowee pedestrian seriously injured 

A Chilhowee man, 27, suffered serious injuries at 6:03 p.m. Sunday, June 15, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was walking north on the shoulder of Business Highway 13 when a 2017 Hyundai Elantra driven north by a 59-year-old man from Clinton traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit him. The 27-year-old was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Johnson County Ambulance District.
