Windsor woman killed in Johnson County head-on crash

Patricia S. Malone, 76, of Windsor was killed, and Jessica N. Lindsay, 34, of Lincoln suffered minor injuries at 4:24 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Ford Explorer driven south by Malone crossed the center of Missouri Route 23 near SE 725th Road striking a 2004 Dodge Ram driven by Lindsay head on.

Lindsay, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by the Johnson County Ambulance District.

Malone, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead on the scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren and was transported to Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.

One dead, another injured in Johnson County crash

Peter E. Goss, 45, of Mission Hills, Kansas suffered serious injuries and Kevin R. Wilson, of Lee's Summit was killed at 10:53 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Goss west in the eastbound lane of U.S. Route 50 at Highway Z struck a 2023 Subaru Legacy driven by Wilson head on.

Goss was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated involving the death of another, driving the wrong direction on a divided highway and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.

He was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City and released.

Wilson was pronounced dead by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren and was transported to Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
