Austin J. Neff, 30, Poinsett, Ark. sustained serious injuries at 5:02 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Neff east on U.S. Route 50 near Devasher Road rear ended a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Dorvil Jackenson, 40, of Linden, N.J. in the turn lane to turn south on Devasher Road. The Silverado became lodged under the towed unit. The Cascadia then dragged the vehicle onto Devasher Road coming to rest in the northbound lane.
Neff was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Hospital in Kansas City.
