Brent L. Carroll, 20, was killed at 2:40 p.m. Friday in a Henry County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Carroll was driving a Bad Boy lawn mower near NE 595 Private Road in performance of work duties and was operating at the highest point of an embankment when the vehicle lost traction and slid sideways down the embankment towards the pond. The vehicle's wheel dug into the ground at the edge of the bank causing the vehicle to overturn onto its top.
Carroll was pinned underneath the surface of the water and was pronounced dead on scene by paramedic Dustin Dodson. He was transported to Bradley funeral home.
