Police Reports for Nov. 5

Michael S. Ripley, 40, was arrested on Oct. 7 for assault at the Western Missouri Medical Center. A WMMC employee reported that Ripley had spit on his face. He was cited on the scene for assault.

Ronda L. Martin, 55, was arrested on Oct. 8 for a dog running at large in the 400 block of Windy Way. Martin was issued a summons.

Ricardo A. Abad, 54, was arrested on Oct. 9 for littering near the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to the area in response to Abad lying down there. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Abad, who stated he was okay and did not need emergency medical services. While on scene, officers instructed the male several times to clean up the trash in his immediate area. However, he refused. He was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.

Jonathan M. Stewart, 34, was arrested on Oct. 9 for driving while suspended and obstructing the driver’s view in the 800 block of Brittany Drive. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.

Scott C. Turner, 34, was arrested on Oct. 9 for outstanding warrants and driving while revoked. Officers attempted to stop Turner on his motorcycle on Young Street near Maguire Street. He was later located in the 40 block of Northwest 125 Road. He was arrested for outstanding warrants out of Lafayette and Jackson County and the Independence Police. He was placed in the Johnson County Jail for the outstanding warrants.

Charles D. Stephens, 35, was arrested on Oct. 10 for indecent exposure in the 400 block of Holden Street. Officers responded to a business in the area regarding a subject that needed to be trespassed. While on the scene, staff reported that the male subject exposed himself to a female patron the day prior. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released with a city citation. Stephens was also arrested on Oct. 12 for theft from a business in the 300 block of North Maguire Street and an open container violation. Staff reported that Stephens stole two cans of beer from the store without paying. Stephens was also in possession of an open container of liquor. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.

Michael C. Williams, 47, and Megan Champlain, 28, were arrested on Oct. 10 for domestic assault and child abuse. Officers were dispatched to Sterling Elementary School. The school’s children's division was investigating a report of child abuse. After interviews were conducted, four juveniles were taken into custody by the Department of Family Services. A known male and female subject were arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked, and released with the investigation still ongoing.

Kati N. Kelly, 35, was arrested on Oct. 10 for domestic assault and a Johnson County warrant in the 1800 block of Villa Drive. A male subject reported that Kelly had assaulted him. She was placed in the Johnson County Jail.

Mark A. Daniels, 23, was arrested on Oct. 13 for driving while revoked, following too close and without insurance. Officers conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle in the 600 block of Grover Street. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released with citations.

Maria M. Ponder, 34, was arrested on Oct. 13 for child abuse/neglect in the 400 block of West Culton Street. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released pending state charges. The children in the home were removed and placed in the Department of Family Service's custody.
