Leeton teen seriously injured in Johnson County wreck
A Leeton juvenile, 16, suffered serious injuries at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was driving a 2014 Dodge Dart north on SE 301st Street when he crested a hill, lost control of the vehicle, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox.
He was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported by air ambulance to Children's Mercy in Kansas City.
