Belton man hurt after striking tree
An 85-year-old man from Belton suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Friday, July 24, in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound on U.S. 50 Highway west of NW 601 Road at 12:24 p.m. when he left the roadway and struck a tree.
The man, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Warrensburg man injured in accident
A 72-year-old man from Warrensburg suffered moderate injuries in an accident Sunday, July 26, in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he was driving a 2022 Ram 1500 northbound on Highway 13 at Northwest 1050 Road when he stopped to make a left-hand turn. A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven northbound by a 52-year-old from Higginsville failed to stop and struck the Ram.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The 72-year-old was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
