Warsaw man dies in Johnson County accident
A 38-year-old male from Warsaw died after being ejected from his vehicle in a Johnson County accident Sunday, June 28.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he was driving a 2006 GMC Sierra eastbound on U.S. Highway 50 west of Route Z at 9:40 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a pole and overturned, ejecting the driver.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead on scene at 10:36 a.m.
Juveniles hurt in Johnson County UTV accident
Two Warrensburg juveniles were injured in a UTV accident at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, June 27, in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 15-year-old female was driving a 2022 Polaris Ranger westbound on SW 400th Road East of Route BB when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway.
A 17-year-old passenger was seriously injured and taken to Children’s Mercy by Life Flight.
The driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Children’s Mercy by the Johnson County Ambulance District.
Both were wearing seatbelts.
