Warrensburg motorcyclist in seriously injured in high-speed wreck 

A Warrensburg man, 44, suffered serious injuries at 9:16 p.m. Saturday, March 14, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was riding a 2003 Yamaha XVS 650 south on Main Street at West Clark Street in Warrensburg and was traveling at a high rate of speed before striking a roadway sign. He was ejected from the vehicle and came to rest in the roadway. 

He was not wearing a helmet, and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research hospital in Kansas City. 

Two Sedalia women injured in US 50 crash

A Sedalia woman, 18, was seriously injured and a Sedalia woman, 23, suffered moderate injuries at 3:18 a.m. Saturday, March 14, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2023 Buick Encore GX driven east on US 50 by the 18-year-old struck the trailer towed by a 1999 Ford F-350 driven east. The Buick then traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, overturned and caught fire. The truck came to a controlled stop. 

Both women were wearing seat belts, and were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District. The 18-year old went to Research Medical Center in Kansas City and the 23-year-old went to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. 

Odessa woman hurt in Johnson County crash

An Odessa woman, Suffered minor injuries at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, March 15, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was the occupant in a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro driven by a 19-year-old man from Odessa south on Missouri Route 131, north of County Road  NW 800, which failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. 

It's unknown if the woman was wearing a seat belt. She was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. 

Whiteman driver transported after US 50 accident

A Whiteman Air Force Base man, 26, suffered moderate injuries at 11:37 p.m. Sunday, March 15, in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2023 Honda Civic driven east by the man on U.S. Route 50 rear-ended a 2023 Western Star 4700 at a high rate of speed then lost control and spun out.

The injured man was wearing a seat belt, and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
