Warrensburg area police reports for Nov. 18

Joseph W. Burton Jr., 48, was arrested Oct. 21 near the intersection of College Street and Pine Street for stealing after officers were dispatched to Warrensburg Dodge in reference to a theft on Oct. 19. The business reported the air compressor pump was stolen. A male subject was identified and arrested Oct. 21 for felony stealing. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released pending state charges.

Adrianna C. Rose, 19, was arrested Oct. 20 in the 300 block of West Market Street for failure to maintain lane, failure to maintain responsibility, minor invisibly intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and DWI - leaving the scene of an accident after officers were dispatched to the area in reference to a motor vehicle crash involving a white Honda Accord. It was reported that the vehicle collided with multiple parked cars and struck a tree. Officers located a female who was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where she was booked and released pending state charges.

Stephen W. Powers, 57, was arrested Oct 21, for abuse or neglect of a child in the 100 block of South Holden Street after officers at Warrensburg Middle School were made aware of possible child abuse. Officers discovered a known juvenile subject had reported a known male subject struck them several times with a belt, leaving multiple bruises. Children’s Division was notified, and the juvenile was removed from the home and taken into protective custody. Investigation is ongoing.

Shawnacy M. Johnson, 22, was arrested Oct. 21 for simple domestic assault in the 800 block of East Market Street after officers were dispatched in reference to a disturbance. Officers located a known male and female subject who were yelling and fighting in front of their residence. After investigation, the male was arrested for domestic assault. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with a signed city summons.

Jeffrey L. Lynn Jr., 46, was arrested Oct. 21 for unlawful use of a weapon, domestic assault and armed criminal action in the 100 block of West Pine Street after officers were dispatched to the 900 block of North College Street on Oct. 21 in reference to a domestic assault. It was reported by multiple callers that the male struck a female subject multiple times with a firearm before leaving the area. Officers made contact with the female, who was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for her injuries.

Danielle J. Schwager, 41, was arrested Oct. 22 in the 300 block of East Cooper Boulevard for trespassing after officers were dispatched in reference to a disturbance. Asset Protection reported a female was trespassing and causing a disturbance in the parking lot. Officers made contact and arrested the female. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where she was booked and released with a signed city summons.

Jared J. Storms, 43, was arrested Oct. 22 for unlawful use of a weapon, property damage, assault, violating an order of protection and burglary in the 1000 block of East Gay Street after officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Ridgeview Drive in reference to a disturbance. A party reported a known male broke into his residence and was armed with a weapon. Officers located the male nearby and arrested him. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released pending state charges.

Troy A. Sowers, 63, was arrested Oct. 23 for animal neglect/abandonment in the 700 block of Burlington Road after officers were dispatched in reference to animals at large. A reporting party reported multiple dogs were running loose around the neighborhood and appeared to be neglected. Officers made contact with the owner, who was arrested for animal neglect. He was booked and released on scene with a signed city summons.

Paul D. Schleer, 30, was arrested Oct. 25 in the 100 block of West Pine Street for unlawful use of a weapon after officers were dispatched to a disturbance. Officers located two known male subjects in a fight, with one in possession of a firearm. One male was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released with a signed summons for unlawful use of a weapon.

Barnabas E. Southall, 40, was arrested Oct. 25 in the 800 block of Foster Lane for assault after officers were dispatched in reference to an assault. A male reported that another male assaulted him by striking him in the mouth. Officers saw visible injury and arrested for the male subject. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released with a signed city summons.

Randell C. Fletcher, 25, was arrested Oct. 26 in the 100 block of West Pine Street for resisting arrest in the 100 block of West Pine Street after officers were conducting alcohol compliance checks in the area. During which, they observed a male with an open container. He ignored commands to discard the alcohol and was arrested. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released.

Jason M. Wilson Sr., 45, was arrested Oct. 26, for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and trespassing on railroad property in the 000 block of South Washington Street after officers located him walking down the middle of train tracks. Officers attempted to arrest the male, but he resisted. A short time later, he was taken into custody and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released.

David M. Smith, 37, was arrested Oct. 26 for harassment and burglary in the 800 block of South Maguire Street after officers were dispatched to a disturbance. Dispatch advised a male had kicked in the door to an apartment and was still on scene. Officers contacted the male, who stated he became upset with his neighbors, which led him to kick the door down and yell at them. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail, where he was placed under a 24-hour hold for burglary and harassment.
